DAYA News Bureau, 10th October 2022: On the occasion of its 1st Anniversary celebration, ‘SVF Cinema’ at ‘Sammilani Mall’, Benachiti Durgapur today (10th October 2022) extended a special invitation to the students of the two ‘Jeevan Path Kendra’ being run by the social organization “Durgapur Adda Young Association”.
Apart from showing Bengali movie ‘Karnasuvarna Gupta Dhan’ which took the box office by storm, the small kids were given the honour of cake cutting; there was arrangements of lunch and gifts for all the 52 students of the two Jeevan Path Kendra. The ‘SVF Cinema’ management also arranged to bring the students of two Jeevan Path Kendra to the multiplex.
Durgapur Adda Young Association secretary, Rajesh Sen in short speech gave special thanks to ‘SVF Cinema’ team for thinking of such a beautiful idea. He further mentioned, that if they did not provide this opportunity, the students of these two Jeevan Path Kendra would never have had the opportunity to go to such an environment.
Incidentally Durgapur Adda Young Association’s Jeevan Path Kendra – 1 is located at Kamalpur Washing Plot adjacent to Durgapur Steel Township. Since August 15, 2020, this center has been fighting hard to educate the children of the stone quarry workers’ families living here by providing them with a balanced mid-day meal along with regular teaching for 5 days a week.
Jeevan Path Kendra – 2 is located in Durgapur Railway Station Bus Stand area. Since 16th July 2021, this center has been continuously trying to educate the children of extremely marginalized families living in the station area by providing them with regular teaching lessons 5 days a week along with providing balanced meals at night.
The strength of these two Jeevan Path Kendra is the common people, with whose financial support all the expenses of these two centers are met.
