For those who don’t have proper clothes to cover their body, the idea of winter clothes is an utter luxury and talking about Human Rights with them will be no less than an a humiliation. Realizing this, on the occasion of ‘Human Rights Day’ on 10th December social welfare organization Durgapur Adda Young Association (DAYA) took an imitative to distribute winter clothes among the students of the organization’s two Jibanpath Kendra.
DAYA distributed new full sleeve sweaters, full trousers, winter slippers and school bags among the students of “Jibanpath Kendra – 2” located at Durgapur Railway Station. These small gifts were given to them out of social responsibility so that they do not have to shiver in the cold without talking about ‘human rights’ in front of them.
DAYA also distributed full sleeve sweaters and full trousers among 42 students “Jibanpath Kendra – 1” located at Kamalpur Washing Plot adjacent to Durgapur Steel City.
Jibanpath Kendra’s are unique initiatives of DAYA to impart basic education to the kids of extreme marginalized families, so that they can make distinction between what is good and what is bad, decide their course of life and don’t be a soft target of falsehood. Here it must be mentioned that Durgapur Adda Young Association is a registered social organization and not an NGO, the common man is the strength of the organization. Financial help from common people made our endeavor of distributing new winter garments successful.
