Durgapur Adda Observes Children’s Day Among Slum Kids

Newly formed social welfare organization Durgapur Adda members observed Children’s Day on 14th November 2015 in a very different way.

Members of Durgapur Adda visited two slums in Durgapur adjacent to Durgapur Station Bazaar and Durgapur Railway station. Food packets and education materials like, pencil, pencil box, crayons, drawing copies were distributed among small children living there. The visit wasn’t pre-planned so that the real needy could be reached out.

It was indeed a pathetic sight to witness the living condition of the people there and every member felt sad after seeing the atmosphere in which the future of our nation is growing up.

Members felt that a nation couldn’t progress unless the masses are given proper education and more importantly the child education becomes a priority for the lawmakers.
