Durgapur-based social welfare organisation, Durgapur Adda Young Association organized a free health check-up camp on 30th August 2020, for the families of stone quarry workers of Kamalpur Washing Plot. This special initiative was taken at a time when most doctors are not opening their clinic due to the fear of getting infected with Corona virus and as such the general health problems are getting neglected.
General health check-ups of as many as 122 people aged 3 to 102 years were conducted and medicines were also provided according to the prescription, free of cost. Eye testing arrangements were there for elderly people as well.
