DAYA News Bureau, 18 June 2022: The Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate on Friday (17th June 2022) inaugurated a ‘May I Help You’ kiosk at the Kaji Nazrul Islam Airport at Andal adjacent to Durgapur. The kiosk has been setup with an aim to assist flyers.

In near future, there is a possibility to set up a police station that will cater exclusively to the airport passengers and staffs.
The kiosk will not only provide basic information on flights, transportation fares and service fees, but will also help passengers who arrive by late evening flights to avail cabs to their destination. Equipped with WiFi, computer and landline phone the kiosk will definitely be of great help for the passengers of Durgapur and adjacent places who are not that tech savvy. “Now there are six flights that operate from Andal connecting Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. The objective of the kiosk is to assist passengers, including those who reach late in the evening. There is a proposal to introduce transport facilities from here,” said ADPC police Commissioner Sudhir Neelkantham.
